The scope of the Interest Group (IG) is to advance the science and understanding of the fate and effects of metals in the environment, to promote the use of the best available science in evaluating potential environmental consequences of metals in the environment, and to encourage the incorporation of the best available science and organization of approaches for evaluating the effects of metals in the environment, worldwide.
