The SETAC Advisory Panel on Chemicals Management (CheM) works to promote science—informed decisions in relation to chemical management. As with every SETAC group, the panel’s composition is balanced so that it is international and multisector (academia, business, government, associations). Currently, the panel has been working on statements on behalf of SETAC to support SETAC representation on the UNEP Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) to define a UNEP Science-Policy Panel for the Sound Management of Chemicals and Waste and to Prevent Pollution (SPP-CWP).
The SETAC World Council solicited applications from volunteer experts within our membership for the CheM. SETAC received 42 applications and, after a robust and transparent process, the council appointed the following CheM members:
