Help Improve Member Experiences in STEM Professional Societies
SETAC North America joined Amplifying The Alliance To Catalyze Change For Equity In STEM Success (ACCESS+) in February 2022 as part of our work striving for diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, justice and belonging within our society (download the latest “Inclusion Report” as a pdf file to learn more).
To help us and ACCESS+ better understand members’ experiences with and perspectives about STEM professional societies, as well as the kinds of changes members would like to see, we are inviting SETAC members to participate in a research study titled, “An intersectional, critical mixed-methods approach to understanding member experiences with STEM professional society and association culture.” The study is funded by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Research Foundation (IRB 2024-0164). Your responses will help STEM organizations, such as SETAC, better understand members’ needs and make informed decisions about improvements.
To learn more about the study and view a list of participating societies, visit www.accessplusstem.com/access-research-study. You must be a member of at least one of the listed STEM professional societies to participate in this 30-minute survey. Participants have the option to enter into a drawing for one of five $250 Amazon gift cards.
